The cross country courses have been designed by Ann and Nigel Taylor and built by Andrew Hunter (all British Eventing approved). It has been designed to encourage all levels of competitors and is run over well-prepared old turf.
A large number of fences have all-weather take-offs and landings and the course includes two water complexes, banks, pheasant feeders, hedges and a range of other innovative and inviting fences.
For 2006 a completely new course was added and in August, Aston-le-Walls Horse Trials hosted the Quatro Saddlery Grassroots Festival of British Eventing incorporating the Quatro Saddlery British Pre-Novice Championships and the Baileys British Intro Championships.
Aerators, slitters, harrows, rolls and watering equipment are all employed to ensure that the going is as good as possible and every effort is made to improve, change and alter routes so that the courses are always exciting and challenging.
